Many pirate ships have landed here, seeking safe harbour from the storm. Once here, the men of dark heart sought to steal from the land. They were expelled and never allowed to return or find the land, inspite of their navigational prowess.
The legend of Pan may have been born here as told by a traveler who visited and saw one of our ancestors fly, or the legends of Mers
The towns are connected via waterways and roads. Modern development have thrived in Argento Lago, but at a pace much slower than that of the world outside. This is part of its charm. When in Argento Lago, the world outside is invisible, and Argento Lago is invisible to the world outside. It is almost as if it doesn't exist.
THE MYSTERIES OF ARGENTO LAGO:
Legend, says that piece of earth dropped from Garden of Eden when G_d took the Garden away from the Earth. He decided to leave the swatch of dirt to flourish and keep a balance on the planet so that man would not completely destroy the earth.
This "Little piece of Eden" has maintained many of the properties of the Garden itself. Just as in the Garden. This is where man can realize his truest self, almost as perfect as G_d intended him. For every man, or woman, the journey is unique and begins when his/her soul realizes that this place may be his soul’s place of origin.
Here in Argento Lago, it is possible for one to access the 90% of his brain previously kept at bay. His natural powers are much more easily realized. Here on the banks of the Silver Lake. one’s truest self is revealed, whether it be good, or evil. This will only be revealed as your journey unfolds.
The island stayed undisturbed by the outside world up until WWII when the island was invaded by the Italian army looking for land to establish a stronghold. When the natives were met with the invaders they were promised cooperation and trade but instead were overrun by the Italians and their villages burned to the grown. Mother nature would intervene in the worst storm the island has seen for over a thousand years, a storm world make the island appear undesirable to the Italians. This single storm would be the savior of the native culture and its people. Over the years and after the war optimistic businesses would come back to Argento Lago in hopes of creating vacation homes and tourists attractions for the rich and taxing the natives out of their land until there was only one village left standing.
This single village is now protected land. A reserve for the people who once flourished on Argento Lago.
Argento Lago today is a high tourist attraction with vacationers from all over the world coming to get a piece of this little island. People come for the rich nature and beautiful scenic views as well as the fascinating culture that has kept the folklore and history of the island alive through the natives, holidays, and festivals. While many come just for a short stay several have made this place home, living in the homes and townhouses nestled into the mountains cliffs and on the lake.
